Some stuff from this past week, a little head sketch and a lot of hands.

Check In

If airport check in is stressful, space elevators are going to be hell! Heres the work up from the sketch and some scans. I'm afraid to say I think I prefer the sketch.

Elevators

Something I've had on my hard drive for a while, thought it was worth working up a bit. Might try and put some more time into this one if I get a chance.

Practice makes pictures

First up is a photo study from the other night and a quick sketch playing around with the 'exposure' of a painting.

Verge

Tried my hand at doing a brink-esque exaggerated proportions character. The style was actually a lot of fun to play with.

Ok so I looked back and didn't like the last creature head I did, so here's round two.

Dead Space 2 Toy

My friend spotted my illustration on the Isaac figurine packaging so I went out and bought one. Its annoying that its that heat moulded plastic packaging so I cant open it without destroying the box! Still it's cool to see it printed for a toy, its a first for me.

Scifi Abstract

The cool thing about abstract scifi is you can flip it and it works from any orientation!

Creature Sketch

Its been a long time since I've had a chance to update this thing. Most of my personal stuff has all been in my sketchbook lately and scanning is a pain so heres a little creature face doodle, I've been drawing lots of heads lately for some reason.

Dead Space 2

Started playing Dead Space 2 the other night and realised I hadn't posted this cover I did a while back. I've seen it pop up a few places now which was pretty cool.

SP

First self portrait I've done in a while, loads of mistakes but it was good fun. Looking forward to doing another, hopefully with a decent mirror this time instead of a tiny mirror propped up on my external hard drive.

Studies

A couple of movie studies, these were really fun to do. Oh and faces are hard... still I feel I learnt a lot.
